## Consumer guidance

- Prefer semantic tokens such as --color-error and --brand-strong over literal color values.
- Select one of four themes: bikeable, walkable, accessable or schoolable.
- On the web, set the theme with data-moveable-theme on a containing element.
- Treat token removals and renames as breaking changes.
- Base-map styles leave sprite and glyphs as {{SPRITE}} and {{GLYPHS}}; the layers expect the Protomaps v4 light sprite.
- Commit a copy of what you consume together with the manifest; compare build.revision with the manifest each environment serves before promoting.
- moveable-landing is deprecated and is not a consumer; moveable-website has its own identity and does not consume these tokens.
